Here is a link to check your routers compatibility: https://forum.nettalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1489&p=10545&hilit=dlink+router&sid=1e1254f20186207d0706b7d5ce35ac63

One interesting thing, though - if your internet is down for whatever reason (power outage, no ISP, etc.) the callers to you number - after dialing - hear NOTHING - not even a ring tone.

You can fax using NetTALK but you have to set your fax machine to slow to get it to work.

Upon reading the user agreement before activating my unit I discovered a 5000 minute usage limitation per month. That's less than three hours usage a day, for my family with 3 teenage daughters this will not do. I was shocked to discover that a voip device would be limited. I will be returning this and getting the MagicJack. - DAVEFL

MagicJack has the same policy. - DrBenGolfing

with the MJ you get the date/time on caller ID, you don't on the Duo, for many of us that is a bit deal

I got the NetTALK set up today, I won't put the number online but it's
live and I expect to run it full time. $29.95 a year. I gonna think of the
first month as a test.

I do know though that I made the wrong decision, it is a magicJack Plus
in different wrapping. I should have gotten the magicJack Plus,
10 dollars cheaper. Still $29.95 a year. Same thing.
