Haven't bought it yet but pretty sure I will and then review the product after I receive it.

LawnMaster 2-Amp Electric 10" Grass Trimmer Online $17.99

trimmer:

Blades:

The blades and how they connect is what I was mainly looking at.  As Rock quoted
one of the reviewers
"The blades will break as soon as the strike the first blade of grass"

Walmart says "Unlike traditional string trimmers, LawnMaster uses TrimFast blades
for greater durability and edging power.  Blades allow for a 10-inch cutting
diameter, and dual blades add cutting ability.  One blade provides up to 1920
square-feet of cutting area, approximately as much as one spool from a
traditional string trimmer. Includes 6 bonus TrimFast blades.[/quote>

Not going to order extra blades until I've tried out the ones that come on it.  It looks like I could just twist some wires over the holders.  Pretty sure wires would last longer than the plastic blades that come with it.

Not to worry.  Maybe a few minor disappointments, like I forgot about the
sales tax and my $17.99 turned into $19.25 and the extra blades went from
$10 to $15 for 10 sets.  Didn't buy those yet, may make my own more sturdy
ones, I'll have to examine the ones that come with it first to see.

Not worried about the reviews, always dumbasses that are mad 'cause the
blades wear out and have to be replaced.  I know that of course.  The
important part was nobody said the motor or the whole unit failed.

I was curious and will get quite a bit of value just seeing and fooling with it.
As I often do with computer parts.

Looks like replacement blades are gone at Walmart.

Buy from Walmart  Shipping & Pickup Online
$6.99 Out of stock online

They do list them on Walmart Market Place
from $15.41 from TonZof.com

They look nice but don't want to pay that much.
Better save a link in case I can't or don't come up with an alternative:

Honey shopped before picking it up but I got it in my hands before 1:00 PM.
It has two blades, I took one off and traced it on the box for a pattern but
there's a lot of room left, doesn't have to be exact.

Got out the extension cords and went down to the road and trimmed around
the flowers that came up wild there.  Hard for me to see where I'm trimming
but that's just me.  Cut down the biggest plant with about 10 real nice
flowers on it.  Oh well.  I ran it against my shoe a few times, ran it into the
ground and hit the log I have there to keep traffic out.  Blades are pretty
tough, neither broke or damaged in any way.

Looked through the box and it had a little box that clipped on the trimmer,
had four more blades in it.  I can make new ones real easy but they aren't
going to last as long as the ones on it I expect.

Looks fine to me, no problem.

Good deal. Glad to hear it didn't break when you removed it from the box  Smile
Maybe you can make replacement blades better than they can. Sounds like there's a need for them in the marketplace

No, I really can't, don't have that material available. The market
probably doesn't need them, I'm pretty sure this unit is being (or
has been) discontinued, that's why they've run out of blades.

If ones I make work just ok, might be an opertunity to buy the old
units from the reviewers complaining of no blades and put the not
quite as good blades I make on them and sell them at the flea
market.

Looking at some tough stuff on the side that would probably tear
up the blades that came with it pretty fast. Thinking about making
some metal ones so I can use the grass trimmer as a weed eater.
I'll see later, I don't feel inclined to do much or anything right now.

Curly finally took the bait last evening and put the blade guard on
for me.  I should be able to guess where I'm cutting with that to go
by.  I didn't really have any way to tell how level I was holding it
without the guard to go by.

Got my email from Walmart asking me to review my purchase.
I'm happy with it and will give it a good one but will mention in
"Cons" that the blades are prohibitively high with the price of a
10 blade pack now costing $16.49 from a profiteer who's
charging at least three times the intended retail price.  Only $1.50
less than the trimmer.
