PostSubject: Defective Mr. Coffee   Mon Apr 28, 2014 3:34 pm

Our Mr Coffee died. Got a new one off the porch that we've had
put up for a couple of years. Still in the box but stored at high
heat in the summer may have had something to do with it but
it's not working right.

It took several times clicking the button to get it to come on the first
time we used it and Honey couldn't get it to turn off. I tried two or
three times and pulled the plug. It stayed off after I did that.
Couldn't get it to do anything this morning, finally unplugged it and
held down the power button while plugging it in and we had coffee
again today. Didn't cut off automatically after two hours and I was
glad of that. Unplugged it again. Don't know if it'll start working
right or not. Saw one in an ad in Sunday's paper for $18 but we
haven't hunted it yet. This one still might work out.

How old was that coffee pot? Hung in there for quite a while I know. Amusing to me that you had another waiting in the wings. Got your own Walmart out on that back porch!

Honey said the one that died was around three yeats old.
Unplugged the new one and held down the start button while plugging
it in again this mornig to get it to start.
We also have a Black and Decker coffee maker out there that
Honey got a couple of years ago on Black Friday.  Not sure how
good the coffee would be from it.

Coffee is very important to us, we drink about 3 quarts a day.
Whole day's shot without coffee.
