Filled Buy 100 SEAS 20.0301 10:50:42 08/13/14

Not my favorite but it was on sale this morning and at that price it's
paying 4%. Down a little more right now but should go up in a few days.

Yep, going to add it to my watch list. Animal rights fanatics might have created a good buying opp.

Whoops, a little early again, went down quite a bit more but not quite
enough for me to buy again.  The big plunge was over though.
Didn't quite catch the bottom.

I'll see if Turner will let me use their image here.

Bounced like a dead Orca.

I'll be under water Seaworld until it's over 19.

Looks like it's paying 4 1/2 % dividend at 18 though. 250 million buyback starts in January. They're remodeling the whale quarters. It could take a year to get back to it's old high.

I'm barely above even right this minute, it's over 19.

So, how bad was the earnings that caused it to be shot?
Checked this weekend for the exact figures:

Net quarterly revenues:
.
Admissions

2013 - $255,001,000
.
.
Food, merchandise and other
2014 - $155,888,000
2013 - $156,291,000
.
.
Total revenues
2014 - $405,151,000
2013 - $411,292,000

Yeah, deinitely overdone on the downside. I'm up a little over 5% and plan on holding a while.
Ironically, part of the move back up is related to the crazies at PETA buying shares to try and gain some traction to get the whales released. Ain't going to happen but I hope they keep buying!

Filled Sell 200 SEAS 20.5401 11:54:24 09/17/14

Bailed, don't really want to own Seaworld. Just up 50 cents from the
first purchase but up $2.50 a share for the second purchase. Looks ok,
I just don't want it.

Understood..It's up a little today though and getting in and 18 was hopefully the bottom. I guess I'll hold awhile longer. Paying me a 3% divvy.

Good luck. It's paying you a 4% dividend right now at $2.57.

well, not the best timing it turns out. Market's in the crapper. Maybe this is the 5% -10% correction everyone has been talking about.

Filled Buy 50  SEAS  18.5699  11:42:06 10/02/14

I was logged in anyway getting more BUD.

I hadn't heard anybody talking about a 5% -10% correction, wouldn't have
paid any attention anyhow.  Just pretty normal fluctuation, just doesn't
seem like it 'cause the market's been so steady for so long.
