I expect you got the Windows 10 advertisement automatically
installed on your computer same as I did. Using automatic
updates to advertise sucks. I got one notification popup
from it so far.

I clicked the up arrowhead on the left of the notification area
on the clock side of the taskbar and choose "customize" at
the bottom and told it to hide the icon and notifications.
Should have worked but the next time I booted it was back.

You can go to Windows Updates in control panel and uninstall
the ad update, it's "KB 3035583". Instead of that I tried this:

"Simply canceling a reservation is also relatively easy.

Right-click on the “Get Windows 10″ icon and then click the

“Get Windows 10″ link. Next, click the menu bar on the

upper-left side and select View Confirmation; you can then

cancel the reservation"

There's a picture on Windows Secrets HERE

I haven't booted yet but so far, so good.

There's an icon in my tray saying "Get Windows 10" . I don't guess I've updated yet. Might not mess with it. Your link suggests there's no real reason to do so.

By all means, if it doesn't bother you just leave it.
I only had the one baloon notification from it so far,]
I just like to be in charge of the notification area
instead of letting their ads take over.

Win10 is supposed to come out July 29th so maybe
it'll go away then.

It came back when I booted up this morning so the easy
one doesn't work.  Looks like the only way to get rid of it
myself is to uninstall the advertising update.  I'll just leave
it awhile if it doesn't bother me too bad.  We definately don't
want it over these installs.  Might be a good offer when it
comes out if you wanted to install it on the extra primary
partition for a dual boot if you really wanted it now.
