Reminder:

Subject: Cash in Portfolio   Fri Mar 13, 2015 4:18 pm LINK

Still on track of my cash use plan. Bought VIG, Vanguard
Dividend Appreciation ETF last 10% down and made
over 10% on the rebound. It's not down as much as the
VOO, Vanguard 500 ETF this time so guess I'll go with
VOO.

Well, just put in 6% of my cash at 10% below the high
of the S&P 500 and put it in VOO.

Flopping around likea fish out of the water this
morning so delayed until it settled.  Probably shouldn't
ad-lib but I'll buy more if it goes down to 11% pull
back.

Filled Buy 20 VOO  176.27  10:28:04 01/11/16

The VOO buy closed down over $5 yesterday but the futures
look like I'll make that back pretty quick after the open.
Who knows?

Forgot to mention, I use the log out page to sign in on
TDAmeritrade - LINK

When Honey was trying to help me she cried out in alarm
trying to warn me it said I was logged out. Couldn't get her
to stop shouting in my ear.

You might get to add $220 soon. Sheesh, what carnage!
I never fully understood this Morgan chart. Seems like you would had to have quite a bit of money on the sidelines in normal times to add like that.

Not sure why he didn't just use percentages, perhaps to show
that you didn't have to have a lot of money to invest more
especially if you're trying to dollar cost average in over a long
period of time.

Not everyone does have a lot of money in a taxable account
so he said that was what he was going to do with his and he
does. Not sure but I think he's shopping for a house or just
for safety.  At his age he should haveall of his retirement money
invested already.  I'm older but keep some in cash in Honey's
retirement account so she won't get caught taking her RMD
if the market's down and because of the three major asset
classes, stocks, bonds, and cash it's the safest option besides
all stocks.  Long term with no RMD required I keep my Roth
fully invested in stocks.

Yeah, I'll put a lot more in if it goes down that much but don't
expect it to and probably will only be close to his chart.

Closer than I thought it would get.
Market Watch - S&P 500 Index 52 week high 2,135
2135 X .85 = 1815 (21.35 x 15)

Yahoo futures showing 1837 right now, might put in 10% of
the cash just below -14%.  Others may try to hit at -15% and
see if it holds there or if I can put in more even cheaper than
-15%.

Economy looks fine.  Earning okay so far.

Talking head on CNBC this morn said if the S&P closes below 1840 today, it will go to 1650. Who knows really but it appears the trend is still down and no place to hide (except cash).

Talking heads are empty heads.  At least he doesn't think God
lifted the veil and let him see the future... just warned him
about 1840.

It's like saying if I toss this coin and it comes up tails, it'll come
up tails 73 more times in a row.

I'm not trying to hide, I'm standing at the counter with cash
in hand ready to buy at just a little better prices.

What goes up must come down and in the stock market what
goes down must come up.  You just don't know when.

Looks like another rough day ahead. Morgan might get to throw in another $220 soon Mad

Already had mine mostly in, had to take a nap and would have
mostly missed it anyway. Didn't get it all in or at the exact
levels but would have finished at about -17% or more down.

Didn't follow it exactly, just a general guideline. Just had gotten
Honey 10 shares of VOO, told her it was down about $15 a few
minutes ago but rising.
