PostSubject: I Moved the New Gas Grill Around Back   Mon Feb 09, 2009 10:35 am

I heard Helen give the excure twice yesterday that why the new grill hadn't been used
was because I hadn't moved it around back.
I told her it was stupid to buy anothe expensive gas grill since the older one I told
her not to buy still worked, you just had to light it yourself and we hadn't used it
even 10 times since she bought it.
That's pretty damn expensive per cookout and it the few never end on a happy
note anyway.

I wasn't able to move it when she first got it, I really wasn't able to walk around
the house. I checked it this morning and it wasn't a problem at all to move so
I drug it through the sand and pine cones bouncing all the way. I had to stop at the
gate 'cause it was blocked by the old grill we used to keep Culry's dogs from getting out
when we kept them. I came back through the house and moved a table and some
plants so I could get outside that way and moved the old one and brought the new
one into the back yard approximately in the area she probably wants it in.

I'm sure she'll still use me for an excuse for some time to come and start out her story
with "Tommy didn't even move it around back where I could use it until Spring" and I'll
say "February the 9th, You really don't have an excuse this year." not that I want
anything cooked outside on the grill anyway, that's what the stove is for.

Don't you even want a good ole grilled hamburger once in awhile?

No not really but I eat one from time to time when somebody cooks them and
insists. I pat me out a patty of ground sirloin and mix in some Heinz 57 and
pat it out again and punch fork holes all over it and bake it in the oven.
Put it in when the oven's cold and turn it on 300 and it'll be perfect in 30 minutes.

Helen came home at lunch and didn't notice it wasn't there right in front of her
in the driveway. Stopped at Walmart and didn't get home until after dark and
didn't see that it wasn't there to pull up to.

My kids and their families always celebrate Christmas at my house on Christmas eve. Instead of the traditional turkey with all the trimmings we always have grilled steaks (and it's cold outside!), - a typical
"cookout" meal...and this goes over real big! Cleanup is minimal and you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen....let someone else cook the turkey! Grills do come in handy!!

Well, I certainly agree with you on giving up the time consuming and
messy traditional dinner, that's why there's Cracker Barrel if you want
that and I really don't. I do prefer to cook in the house under more
controlled conditions and with the benefit of a controlled climate to going
outside in the cold or heat to cook. I cook almost everything in
aluminum foil so there's really not much cleanup to do. No insects or
birds flying overhead.

Cooking out is for when the power's off. If I eat much food that's cooked
outside I get a little ill. There's a reason they smoke hams to preserve
them, the smoke is poisonous so nothing begins to eat them.

Oh, I will. Even though we have two grills now.
Helen still hasn't noticed that the grill's not right in front of her
car when she parks now and doesn't have any idea I moved it
and isn't going to be hunting it to go grill on.
