OK, I think I have it ready with things in a little better order.
It's Online Here

Ready to put in the dividends and qualified dividends when Helen
reads them out to me if I can get her to do it.

One capital loss to report
Home Depot
Bot:
HD - $37.18 - 100
HD - $34.38 - 50
HD - $32.48 - 50

10/09/2008
Bot 100 HD @ 21.12
Bot 100 HD @ 21.13

Sold:
200 @ 22.0701 - 11/25/2008

Bot:
HD - $37.18 - 100 = 3718 + 10 fee
HD - $34.38 - 50 = 2/3438 = 1719 + 10 fee
HD - $32.48 - 50 = 2/3248 = 1624 + 10 fee
3718
1719
1624
7061 + 30 fee

Sold:
200 @ 22.0701 = 4414 + 10

7061
-4414
-2647 +40 fee
HD = -2647 -40 fee

But I'm going to have two capital gains, Wrigley's and Anheunser
Busch.

When you get the data put in I'll be glad to transfer it to excel if you like?

Thanks but it's just a worksheet that has to be transfered to the IRS
form anyway and there's not too much advantage or I could have
used Excel. I write html without even thinking about it so it's
easier for me. You can set Excel to do the math but I can catch
a typo better in html.

I've put some of them in now but am holding some back on purpose.
I got two TD Ameritrade corrected 1099s yesterday. I had started
saving them on my end table when they came in but I'd already
gotten some and will have to hunt them now. Also, I may have to
look around Helen's chair now. I'd have sworn that I had General
Mills and H. J. Heinz but they're not here.

I think I've got them in alphabetical order now since I didn't seem
to have them just right. It's easy with html to just copy one's table
and then paste it in where it belongs. Easier than Excel.
I'm going to stop for now, probably for all day.

Let me know when it's done and I'll double check the math if you like..Seems like I might have caught a couple of errors last year but that was when you had been out of the hospital for only a short while.

Yes, I do recall and I hope the reason was because wasn't in top
form as my math is usually spot on.
If it's not too much trouble please do check me again but I hope
I just get a clean bill of health this year. I'll post back when it's
pretty close to turning in or when I think I've finished the
dividends anyway.

My mistake about Ameritrade, that wasn't the 1099b forms and
they haven't come yet. I've got everything else in dividends now,
will work on cap gains for a while. I'll have to add up months of
reinvested dividends to get the cost basis. Crap.
Updated divs added up except for Ameritrade is HERE

The good news on Wrigley is I copied over the complete history to the new composition book I started after the first one was full. I haven't been able to find the first book in years and expect it went out in the trash sometime.
The bad news is I hadn't figured out my cost basis since 1996
Cost basis from 5-01-96 = $747.42 - Crap!

3.13 - 1996
3.14
6.29
3.16 - 1997
3.55
3.56
3.57
8.09
3.59 - 1998
3.79
3.80
3.81
9.74
3.84 - 1999

Not good, I have to look up where I am in the book and memorize the next dividend and then go to the keyboard and type it in and then go back and hunt my place in the book. I'm going to try and get someone to read them to me while I type. Helen sucks at it and is unwilling and feels put upon. Maybe I can get Diane to do it.
I ought to start the one for Anheuser Busch first so we could go straight to that one next.

Oh, I'll get it before then. I'm just lazy and looking for an easier way. Diane has
a cold so that's out. I asked Helen again last night but won't bring it up again
unless she does. I've got three years there already. I'll finish that one Monday
if she doesn't volunteer this weekend.

OK, I've got all the dividends from the records I had and put it online:
All WWY Investments and Dividends
It's hard to believe that I only made one cash purchase in all that time.
Boo on me. I can do the arithmetic now that I have the figures, I'll do that later.

All dividends and investments have been saved in html format on a web page since
the beginning of 2008 and all will be on one page after that date and they haven't
been written down in any book.

I tried to get used to using the number pad and that made it a little easier but I
couldn't see the keys well. I should have gotten out the Crayola keyboard, that
would have made it a lot easier.

$1343.36 - Total Cost Basis

I got all the Anheuser-Busch investments and dividends written down from
the old compostition book I used for book keeping. Not totaled up yet but
I wanted to save my work.

You put in a lot more time than I would want to invest. I just have a few stocks and diligently write down the buy and holds on a spreadsheet when I make those moves. Of course, nothing I hold pays divs. I agree it's a good way to go depending on what you own. If you bought GE for the div , you'ld be dismayed to see they dropped their div 66% last week. Not to mention their stock is down about 70% over the last yr.
